It is said that once even Gautam Buddha himself came to visit this holy land that the people followe him chanting ‘Namo Buddha’ meaning ‘I revere Buddha’. This is the reason, this sacre foothill was name Namobuddha and the people are also peace-loving following the path of the Messenger of World Peace! The Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery built in 1978 and a Buddhist school are the significant landmarks of this shrine.
Similarly, there are almost 250 monks reading at Shree Mangal Dip Branch School and residing inside the monastery. Most importantly, you can have the amazing sight of the Panauti Valley, Dhulikhel Bazaar and Banepa Town from the top. You can also have the distant view of the glowing mountains such as Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung.
