Upon arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, we receive you and transfer to the hotel.

We receive you at the hotel and shift to the TIA in the morning. By taking a scenic flight to Lukla from Kathmandu, you land at the Tenzing Hillary Airport in about 30 minutes.

Descending along the Dudh Koshi Riverbank, you reach Phakding in about 3 hours. The scenery of the majestic Himalayas and mountain valley accompany you to walk past the rugged trails of the Everest Region.

Crossing the Hillary Suspension Bridge over the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi River, you reach Monjo. By getting the trekking permits checked at the Sagarmatha National Park Office, you gradually ascend towards Namche Bazar,

From Monjo, you enter into Sagarmatha National Park, one of the 10 World Heritage Sites in Nepal. The rich biodiversity of the highest altitude conservation area in the world excites you more that you forget the trekking hours.

Namche Bazar is also called the Sherpa Capital because it is the largest town of the Solukhumbu Region. All the modern facilities are available in this Himalayan town.

This is the first acclimatization day. From the following day, you will be hiking above 4,000m which means acute mountain sickness (AMS) might disturb you. A day at Namche Bazar is allocated in every Everest Region Trek itinerary to help you adjust with the higher altitude.

Here are a few alternatives to do and see for spending day in an interesting way. Visit the Sherpa Museum, Hotel Everest View, Khumjung Village, etc. From Everest View Hotel, you enjoy the superb views of snowcapped mountains such as Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam, Tawache, etc.

You will walk through easy trail up to Kyangjuma but then, ascends gently through rhododendron, juniper, and conifer forests. Trekking to Gokyo Lakes with Renjo La Pass (5340m) in the spring is more memorable because of the blooming rhododendrons.

The trail passes across many pasturelands and few Sherpa settlement areas like Tongba (3,950m) and Gyele (3,960m) accordingly. Finally, you stop in Dole where few lodges are run for national and international tourists. From here, enjoy the incredible views of Mt. Khumbila (5,761m) and Mt. Tawache (6,542m.

The steep trail climbs alongside villages such as Lambara (4,220m) and Luza (4,360m). Then, it runs ahead through juniper forests and a few meadows. You end up today’s trip in Machhermo Village. This is the village where the Yeti killed three yaks and attacked a Sherpa woman in 1974.

Enjoying excellent views of Mt. Kantega (6,781m) and Mount Cho Oyu (8,201m), you climb up a ridge. When it enters into the Gokyo Valley and passes through Pangka Village (4,390m). Then, you climb a steep trail that goes along the moraine of the Ngozumpa Glacier. You stop in Gokyo Village nearby the First Gokyo Lake (4,650m).

Today is the major highlight of Gokyo Lakes Renjo La Pass Trek. Wake up early and get ready for Gokyo Ri climbing tour. Traversing along the steep trail for about 2 hours, you reach the top Gokyo Ri.

From atop, you witness 360 degree panoramic view of the Mahalangur Himalayan Range. Particularly, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Cholatse, and Tawache mountains are visible from here.

Besides this, you can also have wonderful glimpses of the Ngozumpa Glacier, the longest glacier in Nepal and not much far from the world’s highest mountain.

This is yet another highlight of Gokyo Lake Trek with Renjo La Pass. In the beginning, you descend into the remote northern valley with no easy access. The landscape of this remote valley resembles with the Tibetan Plateaus.

Traversing alongside the steep trail and a few glacial moraines, you reach the top of Renjo La Pass, one of the highest pass in the Himalayas. From the pass, you get to enjoy the astounding vistas of Cho Oyu (8201m), Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Cholatse (6440m), Taboche (6367m), and other Himalayas along with the Gokyo Lakes and Ngozumpa Glacier.

While walking into the wilderness, you might meet the Tibetan traders to and from the Nangpa La Pass (5,806m). This pass is an ancient salt trading route located a few kilometers west of Cho Oyu (8,201m). You end up in Lunden.

Enjoying the amazing views of snowcapped peaks of the Khumbu Region, you descend along the rugged trail to Thame Village. On the way, you visit Thame Monastery from where you can have glimpses of the entire valley. This is one of the monasteries where Mani Rimdu Festival is observed in the middle of May every year.

In the beginning, you trek through the banks of the Bhote Koshi River.  Witnessing the splendid views of the Himalayas, you walk past some villages having monasteries, chortens, ad mani walls.  You stop in the Sherpa Capital, Namche Bazar.

Walking along the very trail you followed a few days ago for about 6/7 hours, you arrive at Lukla Valley.
