Annapurna Sunrise Trek Cost

Annapurna Sunrise Trek is completely a tea house trekking in Nepal. The tea houses in the Annapurna Region are recognized for their more-than-basic services of food and accommodation to the tourists. However, the cost of food and accommodation is not as high as in Everest Base Camp Trek or Annapurna Circuit Trek.

This is a moderate type of trekking in Nepal. So, you do not require a porter by adding an extra expense in your trip cost. If you can carry 20 kg – 25 kg of load, you can carry your backpack yourself. You can save to minimize the cost by hiring a guide come porter from a local tour operator.

Compulsion of travelling by flight is another factor to increase the cost of any trip. However, you can minimize Annapurna Sunrise View Trek by travelling by road from and to Kathmandu.

Annapurna Region is a free individual trekking (FIT) region. You don’t have to pay an extra charge for restricted area trekking (RAT) permit which is almost equal to your whole trip.

Above all, if you book a full board Nepal trekking package, no need to spend extra money as well. However, the choice is all yours!

Itinerary

Based on your arrival time, a representative from Nepal Trekking Routes will reach Kathmandu International Airport [TIA] to welcome and receive you. You will then be escorted to your hotel where you can refresh and relax and in the evening a welcome dinner program will be organized at a Nepali restaurant. Overnight in Kathmandu.

After you have your breakfast, our tour guide leads you through some UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Kathmandu Valley alone hosts 7 of the 10 World Heritage Sites of Nepal.

You will be visiting Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, the Monkey Temple, and Patan Durbar Square respectively.

Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most sacred shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva in the world. Bouddhanath Stupa is one of the largest spherical monasteries in the world. The Monkey Temple aka Swayambhunath Stupa is a viewpoint to scan the entire Capital City at a glance.

Patan Durbar Square is one of the three royal palaces of the ancient kingdoms prevalent in the valley. It is also called the marvel of Newari architecture because of its location amidst the classic Newari settlement areas.

After you return from Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour, the team leader tells you all about Annapurna Sunrise View Trek.

You have two options to travel to Pokhara from Kathmandu: driving and flying. Although flight is a bit more expensive, the journey is faster and offers the aerial view of the Himalayas and other natural landmarks.

Driving moves ahead through the small towns at the Prithvi Highway. Relishing the astounding outlook of the Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, and Annapurna Ridges.

The mode of transportation depends upon your agreement with our agency while booking Annapurna Sunrise View Trek.

When you land in Pokhara, you will be taken to the hotel. In the free time, visit around the attractive places of the Lake City.

After breakfast, you head towards Nayapul, the gateway to Annapurna Sunrise View Trek in a tourist bus or a private jeep. From Nayapul, you begin the trek by following the trail moving along the Modi Khola banks. Then, it goes through deep forests of rhododendron and oak while showing the Annapurna Massif.

By walking past the 3,000+ stone staircases, you reach Ulleri, a large Magar village of the Annapurna Region. The village is a gallery of the typical culture, tradition, and lifestyle of the Magar ethnic community. You might meet some Gurkhas who will share their bravery during the wars.

Have your breakfast and begin the rugged but easy path that goes past several small hamlets, rivulets and dense rhododendron and oak forests of the ACAP. The appealing views of the valley and mountains all around make this trip more memorable.

In fact, Ghorepani has the largest rhododendron forest in the world with 8 of 32 rhododendron species found in Nepal. The animals and birds of the conservation area play hide-and-seek while carrying on your trek. Then, you stop in Ghorepani Village tonight. One of the largest Gurung villages, Ghorepani is a storehouse of their culture, tradition, and lifestyle. From here, the vistas of the Annapurna (8,091 m) and the Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) Himalayan Ranges.

This is the most exciting part of Annapurna Sunrise View Trek because you are going to get a lifelong memory of sunrise views of the Annapurna Region. Wake up early and head towards Poon Hill (3,210 m) that takes nearly 1 hour from Ghorepani.

From the hilltop, the Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) Massif, Annapurna (8.091 m) Massif, and Mt. Fishtail (6,993 m) unleash their beauty at fullest. The white snow sparkling in the first sun rays are perhaps the best experience that one can have in their life!

Afterwards, you return to the hotel and have some breakfast. Following the trail that moves along the terraced farmlands and lush rhododendron forests, you reach Tadapani. Tadapani is a small village having some handicraft shops and hotels to serve the trekkers to this region. You can cherish the gorgeous views of Annapurna South (7,237 m) and Mt. Fishtail (6,993 m).

Enjoy the dazzling view of the Annapurna Region while having breakfast. After that, you follow the downhill trail in the beginning and then uphill leading to Chhomrong Village. Enjoying the heart-touching views of the Annapurna Massif and rhododendron forest all around, you reach Jhinu Danda.

The natural hot spring of Jhinu Danda calls the trekkers of the Annapurna Region. Taking bath in the hot spring is an ultimate way to get rid of physical fatigue and mental stress.

Alternatively, you can trek to Ghandruk from Tadapani in about 3-4 hours. The distance to Ghandruk from Tadapani is shorter than that to Jhinu Danda. Following a mostly downhill trail that goes past dense forest and terraced field, you reach the destination. Occasional views of the fabulous mountains of the Annapurna Massif and the Dhaulagiri Massif make this short trek more interesting.

Ghandruk is a typical Gurung village having dense population and clean surrounding. The village has almost all the modern tools and appliances. The Gurung Museum and the ACAP Office are the major attractions of this village besides the friendly people.

The Gurung Museum gives you information about costumes, ornaments, tools, and technologies of these people. The ACPAP Office is a reliable source to know more about the biodiversity of the conservation area.

After breakfast, you descend towards the Komrong Khola and then along the lush forest by crossing a new bridge. Afterwards, crossing a beautiful waterfall in Himalpani, you reach Landruk, a Gurung village. Thereafter, you trek to Tolka, a typical Magar village of the Annapurna Region.

If you spend the night in Ghandruk Village, you follow the banks of the Modi River in the beginning. Crossing a bridge, the trail moves through a terraced field to Landruk Village. Moving further, you reach Tolka in a couple of hours.

From Tolka, you trek down to Phedi by leaving some beautiful villages such as Pritam Deurali, Pothana, and Dhampus. While descending, the amazing vistas of the mountains and surrounding forests accompany you.

From Phedi, you board on a jeep or a van and head towards Pokhara. After arriving in Pokhara, you will be transported to the hotel. In the spare time, explore the city because this is the last day of Annapurna Sunrise View Trek itinerary to stay in Pokhara.

You have two options to return today. You can either trek from Tokla to Nayapul via the village of Deurali or return to Phedi vai Pothana. Both Nayapul and Pothana touches the highway that takes us back to Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.

If you would like to take a flight back to Kathmandu, you can go to the Pokhara airport in the morning and board on a flight. Or else, drive back to Kathmandu on a scenic highway route. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Ghorepani Ghandruk Trek ( Poon Hill circuit, Annapurna sunrise view trek)

I could recommend this trip more. The tour group were amazing from start to finish! They made sure they had all of our arrival details and give us a big warm welcome.

Shailesh ran us through all the details of the trip and what we could expect. We met Harry who was our tour guide who was also amazing! The accomadation and food along the way was brilliant too. We didn’t have the best weather however we still had an incredible time! The trek itself was the perfect combination of length of time vs amazing scenery of what you would see.

Both Shailesh and Harry went above and beyond for us and really made our trip! I couldn’t recommended them anymore!

Incredible scenery, excellent guides & porters – A truly wonderful country
Having done three treks throughout Annapurna & Everest Base Camp with Shailesh over the past two years, I can honestly say Nepal Trekking Routes are incredibly professional, very experienced and completely trustworthy.
From the moment you arrive they will go above and beyond to ensure your adventure is not only safe but incredibly rewarding. Annapurna is a truly breathtaking trek that I loved so much I have done twice now.
Shailesh also takes great pride in helping his home village and local school, so when you support Nepal Trekking Routes you also support his local community.

Ghorepani Ghandruk Trek ( Poon Hill circuit, Annapurna sunrise view trek)
This was my first time traveling to Nepal. There were a lot of uncertainties with not only the long trek but also with all the covid-related travel restrictions. Shailesh went above and beyond and helped me navigate through all of my uncertainties and hurdles even way before I arrived in Nepal. I was able to enjoy Nepal upon initial landing because all the transportation and accommodations were taken cared of for me ahead of time. The trek I did is the Annapurna Panoramic Trail and it was led by my guid Nawin. I literally have nothing negative to say about my guide or the trek. Nawin really looked after me during the entire trek; from constantly paying attention to how I was breathing and my footsteps (so he could adjust our trekking pace accordingly), to always making sure I get the best room in all of our mountain lodges, he is honestly one of the greatest, down to earth and selfless person I’ve encountered. As a Taiwanese-American, Nawin also helped me navigate through the cultural differences and unknown that I encountered as well. The trek itself isn’t easy, but relatively not too difficult compared to Everest basecamp. Every morning, I am greeted by the golden sunrise that blends beautifully with the mountains and clouds. I know I will remember the 6 days worth of trek for a really, really long time. The only item I want to mention is that there are some additional costs that are not accounted for in this booking and are extra expense. Specifically from my trip, it was the travel expense to and from Pokhara as well as the last 2 night’s stay. If I come back to Nepal, I would love to have Shailesh and Nawin help with my trip again. All the best.

A Solo Walk to Remember
Review of: Ghorepani Ghandruk Trek ( Poon Hill circuit, Annapurna sunrise view trek)
4 days/ 3 nights spent amid the beautiful hills of Annapurna region of Nepal by the arrangement of Nepal Trekking Routes . I think one of the top notch operator available in Nepal . Their experience is their strength . Most of the arrangements exceeded the expectations, even though the price was in the higher side . My guide Mr Nawin Pokharel is an energetic amicable youth, really more than a guide. Taking care and guiding are some art , learnt from Mr Nawin . Best of Luck to Nepal Trekking Route !
